Adam Lambert has revealed that he would "jump at the chance" to become a judge on American Idol.

The singer and former American Idol contestant was linked earlier today (July 9) with joining the judging panel on the TV talent show.

Speaking to Capital FM, Lambert said that the link is a "beautiful" rumour and that he would "love" to be asked to work on the show. He said:

"I'm just hearing about this today as well, and so what a beautiful rumour. I mean if, and I say if with a capital 'I.F', if they were to approach me and if they were to say, you know, 'We want you to be a judge on the show' – I would love that!"

Lambert continued: "I would jump at the chance, I think it would be fun."
