Adam Lambert took to the stage with American Idol music director Michael Orland at last night's (December 8) TrevorLive event.

The singer attended the show in Los Angeles as the Trevor Project brought together "top entertainers and corporate leaders to support Trevor’s life-saving, life-affirming work for LGBTQ youth in crisis".

Lambert ran through a stripped-back version of his track 'Whataya Want From Me' with Orland accompanying on piano.

Orland tweeted Lambert after the event: "What a thrill it was tonight to share the stage with you after way too long. You're a winner!!"

The vocal powerhouse replied: "Aww thank u! Felt so good to sing w you again! We're a good team!"

Other famous faces who attended the event included the cast of Glee, Sia and Paula Abdul.

Lambert also posted to Instagram a photo of himself with US star Fergie.
